There was a great buzz around Saint Brigid's today. All-Ireland champions Barry Cahill and Bernard Brogan as well as a certain Sam Maguire paid a visit to our school. The players were greeted with huge applause and cheers from a sea of waving blue flags and jerseys. Barry Cahill spoke about the dedication and commitment needed to win an All-Ireland, which began back when he played as a boy with Saint Brigid's. Who knows, perhaps a future All-Ireland winner was cheering in the crowd of pupils today.
